Below are some headers I've done for layouts I've had in the past. While these may be my favourites, keep in mind that I do hold myself to very high standards when it comes to, well, pretty much everything.

don't say a word uses a scan from the Battle Royale manga of Souma Mitsuko, girl #11 of class b. i cleaned up the scan and used a number of textures for the background and scratches in the foreground, and added the text.

tell me what you wanna be features Matsumoto Jun of the Japanese pop group Arashi (yes, yes, I know what you're going to say). Image editing for this one entailed a number of picture edits, selective colouring (to bring down the redness in his skin tone and up the blues in his shirt), adding the picture frame and scrapbook textures in addition to the text.
